News Samsung Epic 4G (Galaxy S Pro) - My New Phone

I'm gonna upgrade tomorrow to the new Galaxy S Pro which is branded as the Samsung Epic 4G in the USA.

It looks amazingly badass and is beating all reviews when compared to the HTC EVO 4G.

I could do with a method to use TetherWifi as I dont fancy paying for the hotspot addon so if anyone has any info...

This is my first Android device so kinda excited

Very nice Rap, I will be interested to see what the battery life is like?

What version of Android does it come with? Froyo (2.2) comes with wireless hotspot as standard, I would of thought there would be a ROM in the wild that works for you with this feature, but I can not be sure as we do not have this over here yet. Like the keyboard, I miss this on my N1 as the G1's was quality.

Edit: It comes with 2.1, I would imagine 2.2 will not be far from release for this.

    It's just a Galaxy S with a keyboard isn't it?

The specs are same... Except I see a flash....!

I have the Galaxy S. Good phone, and android shits all over IOS... The Samsung is better than the Iphone 4G too. That screen is awesome. The GPU and CPU are superior. Loving the phone. Battery is good too. At first it only lasted a day. But now I still fuck about with it a lot and get 2 days charging. I bought 3 chargers as I thought it was going to be like my iphone. 1 for home, 1 for the car, 1 for work. But... It isn't.

And 2.2 should be out in a week or so legitimately.

    Cheers, Raptor.

Haven't rooted mine yet, as I was quite happy with it standard.... But I do want to get rid of the samsung apps... So will do so eventually.
