I handed over my brand new jasper elite with mfr. date 2009-05-30 and dash 2.0.7363.0 to a guy for jtag service on tuesday and tbh I'm getting a bit concerned with how long it is taking for him to sort it out.
On tuesday night he confirmed it was 512mb and exploitable and was using a nand-x to grab three dumps of the NAND. After doing some research it looks like those dumps can easily take an hour to an hour and a half, so I kind of expected that along with his day job I probably wouldn't see the console back until sometime Wednesday/Thursday night.
I text him a couple of times to see how he was getting on and to my absolute horror he'd told me that after flashing xell the console wouldn't power on. He told me that it may have been to do with recently updating jtagtool and would simply revert back to the old version and everything should be peachy. Again this didn't work and the next message said he would try an alt smc hack (which I had no idea about, but after looking around it looked a bit more complicated than the jtagtool route).
The most recent message - last night - says he's tried everything under the sun to make xell/xellous boot and console just won't respond but leave it with and he'll crack on.
So my questions are as follows:
- Is the console screwed?
- When the xbox is returned, will it be fitted with the nand-x or is that removed?
- When the xbox is returned, can I check that it is still 100% the one I sent to him? I have a copy of the serial numbers etc but obviously you can switch a case...
- Could a different jasper 512 NAND dump be used provided that the KV is extracted from existing dump? Is anything else required?
- How much longer should I wait for?
Any help is much much appreciated
