Ratchet and Clank - Tools of Destruction error - game data corrupt

I have installed ratchet and clank tools of destruction (internal drive) and the game boots fine - when it then then tries to create the initial game data it comes back with an error saying that the game data is corrupt and to quit the game and delete it.

Everythign I have read suggests that this should work - has anyone got this working from an internal drive, have I got a bad file from my ftp over to the system, should I re-download and try again - or has anyone else had the same issue as me?

I am using the first bios and bm v1.0 as with Hermes and bm v2 I could not even get the game to load it was just a black screen

Just watched a youtube vid and it mentioned previous data needs to be deleted, just delete the game data and reinstall from the disk.

That's the idea I got from the vid, I haven't tried it myself, guy in the vid demo'd Dirt 2

Is game data and save data a different set of files? Haven't backed a game up yet but really don't want to lose any saved/earned data.

I dont have the disk! was downloaded from an nzb... think I may have to go to blockbuster to get this one working lol
