    Default HTML to PHP Advice.

I have asked to change a simple website from HTML to PHP.

Not too much of problem some of you guru's may say - not for me so much!

I've dabbled with Joomla, PHP-Nuke, WordPress and a few other CMS system's - but it seems a tad like overkill to install a CMS system for this site, although I guess if a much simpler one exists, it may be worth it.

The site in question is - http://www.1cls.co.uk
It's an extremely simple advertising site, I've tried to bend my head around the basics of PHP programming, but I am a PHP editor more than an PHP programmer.

He's happy with the (basic) look, but I think PHP pages would be a lot easier to edit for him.

I know it's a simple nav page that's needed. Can anyone advice as to a way I can get this done please?

Whats the actual aim - for him to be able to edit the content himself? As things stand that is an ultra-simple site, so as you say, integrating a joomla-type thing could be overkill, but Wordpress really is pretty simple, and would probably most suit your needs without custom building something using tinymce or fckeditor - or a textarea ;-)

I'm thinking that he could just use include statements to build his site, rather than Frames, it's the navigational menu I cant seem to get my head round.

Word Press would be easier, but his hosting packages doesnt include a MySQL Database - he chose the BT route! Doh!

It's just advice on PHP I need really.

I wrote a simple site where the index.php contains all of the layout etc. I call the pages by index.php?pg=home. I then put the 'content' into home.php. Within index.php, at the apprropriate place I include home.php

I can send you a simple demo if that doesn't make sense

That would be awesome. It sounds like the thing I'm attempting to do, but can't bend my head around! A simple demo would be hugely appreciated.
