Iphone 4 and Itunes

Hi, guys not really played with itunes much, however my iphone4 currently has all my apps and music and music videos I have purchased. However the computer I originally had itunes on has gone down and I know want to copy what is on the phone across to my new computer, but each time I try and create a new itune library it tells me that the music on the device will be wiped first and then synced across ...

Surely it should be the other way around, as probably have around 500+ tunes downloaded from store a few music videos and all I'm trying to do is to build a new itunes library and backup everything including apps etc and get contacts and email syncing across, can anybody please point me in the right direction of the correct process.

If your using a mac, get hold of senuti (itunes backwards)

Forgot to mention, that on pc's i've used Anapod, which does away with the need for itunes.

had a quick look at this is it only for ipod or can it be used for iapd and ipgone 3gs mate ..
