    Default 3D rips?

Anyone know what the deal is with the 3D rips that are becoming available, is there anyway to view these in 3D yet? What glasses will you need etc?

The ones I have seen around have all been the red/blue 3D, dunno where you can get the glasses from though.

I've seen a few knocking around. Some use the colored glasses and are pants. Others will need burning to Bluray disk and played in a 3D player with a 3D screen. It's the way it outputs so you couldn't just play a divx or MKV as far as I am aware.

Anaglyph 3D movies require the old style usuallyl cyan ,magenta colour glasses and are generally awful quality.
Anything in side by side or over and above format can be played by sterescopic player or nvidia vision player and watched with the sxpensive shutter glasses as long as you have a an nvidia approved 120hz screen (check there website to see compatible screens) 3D Blu Ray can be played on a blu ray player hooked to your 3DTV or alternatively on an 3d capable monitor or projector hooked up to a pc or laptop with a gfx card that is powerful enough to run it all id recommend the nvidia 460,470 or 480 gtx at the moment. You would mount the 3D blu ray iso in Daemon tools or similar program and play with latest version of powerdvd or Arcsoft TMT.

yes it can do side by side, ive done it, it works just great but you have to use Nvdia's sterescopic player to do it and select file/open/left_right file/ then select the left and right files. It does work good as I say but the software is a pile of shit, dead buggy and crashes for fun. Im sure a driver update will fix it soon enough and they are frequent as hell at the moment with the Nvidia 3D vision really kicking off. I get miy stuff off usenet no probs.
