Default I'd like an iPhone .

I'd like an iPhone, but not sure which to get. I have a 32gb iPod touch, but would find a phone much more use too, so I'll probably get rid of iPod.

Am I better with the 3G, 3GS or iPhone 4 and what price would i expect to pay for each?

I'd also like it on o2

dont bother with the 3g, altho cheap they are slow now, my advice would be a 3gs 32 gig, range from about 250 second hand and will run os 4 nicey, the i phone 4 is lovey, Works faster, and has a sharper screen but you will pay alot of money, 500 quid plus for one off contract.

Note: We do not allow offers outside BST so anyone who jumps on this saying I have XYZ for sale etc will be looking at a ban.

I have a 3g and it's fine for me, my wife has a 3gs it's faster and better quality resolution but it really depends on your usage, a 16 gig 3g should be around £150 - £180

I used a 3G for two years no problem and my partner still uses one now. I jumped to the iPhone 4 straight from the 3G and find it a lot quicker.

If you are not in contract now it may be worth paying a visit to O2 and taking out a contract. Providing the phone is looked after - you'll likely sell it after two years and have more than enough money to buy another on contract come renewal time.

Retina display does it for me. I never really noticed it until I looked at a website on my missus's 3GS.

I can have most websites fully zoomed out and although small, still readable

I've had a wee look on ebay too, and came across this, 150501192327, i did best offer, and they offer it for £300 .
Is this too cheap? It does say from HK, so maybe the cables wont be UK usable... Should i stay clear of this?

Personally there are a couple of things put me off one being This current batch of stock are shipped by us from Hong Kong the other being they don't seem to have sold any of these before by the feedback unless I'm missing something, only very low value items.

Have you considered an Android mobile? What is it that makes you want an iPhone?

I would only buy from the UK whatever you decide. If you can afford it the iPhone 4 is the way to go, otherwise you will be kicking yourself once you use one and you have the 3g/3gs.

Do you think £300 is a good price for 16gb 3GS? It is only 1 month old and has £180 worth of songs from iTunes on it? Would it still be possible to play these even if they weren't purchased with my iTunes account?

I think you could spend £100 extra and seek an iPhone 4 which could be worth paying the extra for.

If you connect the phone to your computer it'll not let you copy that music over to your account... although there are other ways.

    Tesco mobile do iPhone 4 from 229 for a 16gb and 299 for a 32gb and the contract is 35 a month.

Sounds alot but the contract is only 12months and I think they may even sell payg. Incidently tesco mobile is just another subsidiary of O2
