    Default Which printer to buy?

    Hey all,

My printers gone tits up, and am now in need of replacing it. The one I have is an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier type thing, and although I've only used the scanner a few times, it is handy to have it, although if I can find a good one without it, then i won't lose sleep over it.

Only thing is printer carts. They are a bloody rip off, so hopefully someone can recommend one that doesn't eat the fuckers.

I'm after a decent printer, for medium usage and don't want me pants pulled down over the price.

    Cheers
    Russbeer

At work we've got a few px 710w's for cd printing - they do this nicely and they also get used occasionally for borderless prints, nice little printers but would like to find a 4 ink rather than a 6 ink version.

No idea, it was in a box with a load of other bits, i remember being given some stuff by a friend of mine who manages a charity shop, never looked through all this stuff, just loaded it all into my garage, glad i looked now though.

I asked a similar question on here a couple of months back and picked up an Epson SX515W. Been well chuffed with it, only £65. The replacement 3rd party carts are cheap as chips and just as good too.

My HP 930C printer has just died, so could do with any recommendations for a new one please.

Must have a front tray to load the paper (not got enough space for a rear drop in try), so probably rules out the Epson range).
Less than £100, but £60 to £80 if possible.
Cheap refills - pissed off with paying for the expensive HP carts.
Main printing is usually documents, but would also like to print decent quality photos.

Another shout for Epson PX710W (replacement for PX700W)

WIFI, great photo printer really fast disk printing cheap cartridges
Can't say enough good things about it, If you get it from John Lewis they were adding
    an extra years warranty FOC

Thanks, both epsons look like they are good printers but are too expensive - need a cheaper option.

Thats the printer I have and its awesome.. Prints a cd in about 30 seconds and a 5x7" photo in about a min.

Just need to change the black in about a week and this is from new about 3 months ago and I've printed well over 60 cds.
