    PS3 What hard drive?

What hard drive have you guys upgraded your PS3s with and how much did you pay for them?

I'm after a drive but I'm unsure what make/size to get.

    640gb samsung from ebuyer - £46 delivered.

    Remember there is a size difference on the 1tb units - 9.5mm > 12.5mm.

Same here as well It is the same price on Amazon too, both have free delivery (or eBuyer might have to be a £50 spend). I bought from eBuyer as I was ordering other kit at the same time.

i was thinking about getting a bigger one for my PS3, is it better to have an external one and just plug it into the PC to transfer your stuff, or ftp it to the internal?

I was looking at getting a buffalo 320g portable drive which are currently about 35 at Misco, but its probably cheaper for an internal one.

I think internal offers faster operation too mate, not quite as convenient for PC file transfer but I read about dropped frames using an external.
