    Help seal in the waterpipes?

    Morning,

well after a restless night we now have a seal in the water pipes, happens when flushing the toilet and using taps,

I checked the pressure on the combi and its fine, ive also not fitted the bath so not messed with water, i did the other day take the bathroom sink off to re-tile, but all was put back how it was, it had the flex pipe not copper pipe (easier for us n00bies apprantly) and theres no leaks.

im thinking trapped air as ive recently been caining the central heating after not using it for 8-6 months....

id ring the landlord but hes a prick and cant be arsed, always skint etc - hes not fit to be landlord, this house is his pension i should bill the cnut for all the work ive carried out

bleed your radiators mate if you have trapped air..I have the same problem after not using for a few months, turn it on and then start at the bottom and go around and bleed each one in turn, and make sure you have an old cloth to catch the drips..

shall go to b&q and buy a key later and do that,
its funny as it seemed to have started in the downstairs toilet - we have a euro type toilet, it was in the cistern the bit that fills the cistern up... youd move it and it would stop, but now its progressed thru the house.

shall try the raditors the downstairs one is cold at bottom so that needs looking at anyway

I have a towel rail in the bathroom that seems to collect any air from all the rads. I have to bleed it twice a year.. feck knows where all the air comes from.

I pump up the pressure and then bleed the down stairs, pump up the pressure again and then bleed the upstairs before topping up the pressure to finish.. also you can generally do it without a bleed key and use a flathead screw driver or a 2p coin.

bled the raditors, out of 7, 3 were full of air, thought i was going to blow off
Just wait for the seal to come back now, good point ill also go recheck the pressure on the combi.

to have to bleed twice a year surely theres a pinhole leak somewhere in the system?

sounds like a seal (sea creature lol)

ive found the source, its the downstairs toilet, in the cistern is the flow control, its that, i turn the water off to the cistern and it stops, so ill replace and see how that goes !
