    Question After a job interview.......

Is it bad form to make contact with HR or the manager thats interviewed you for a job requesting feedback (fishing for info as into wether you were successfull)? I had an interview a week yesterday which i'm unsure went utterly fantastic or absoloutly diabolical. At time of interveiw he gave me his phone number and told me to contact him should I have any other questions. The interveiws finished Fri and a freind that works at the same place today said theres a strong rumour that someone matching my description had got one of the posisitions. I just need to know.

Also, a question here for anyone that stages interveiws, On your CV or at an interveiw, is it best to avoid listing or mentioning any qualifications that are irrelivent to the position? Is there such a thing as being over qualified for a job?

    Thanx in advance

If the spelling on your CV is anything like the above, you're fucked.

Give him a call, what have you got to lose? If you have got the position he's not going to change his mind if you call showing further interest.

I agree with CJ mate.. at the end of the day he gave you his phone number if you have any questions: phone and say ''Just the one question.. have I got the job?"

That's always a good one.. at least you know then.. hopefully.. after all a job interview is where you are selling yourself so a bit of confidence can be quite an asset

I think it's better to send an email - they might still be thinking about itso calling them asking for an answer could force their answer - and if the person is busy / stressed then it may go against you for that reason.

I'd email telling them how much you enjoyed meeting them and that you wonder if they have come to a decision yet as it is something you are real;ly keen on - fairly short but sweet... that way if he hasn't made up his mind he'll be more positive towards you as opposed to getting harrassed by phone calls. IMO
