fiat punto fuel cap

i would have posted this in the car forum only it needs to be done on friday and i need the maximum number of ppl to see it so i can get a reply quickly

riite, this twat at my school drives a fiat punto, i need to take of the fuel cap without the key and without breaking it. ne suggestions? oh and before u ask, its to do with a syphoning petrol thing.

Doubt you will be able to syphon any petrol out, I think most newer cars have like a mesh plate in the filler pipe to stop people doing it (Might be used as a filter too?).

Not completely sure tho but i have never managed to do it on a newer car :/

i wouldnt know where the fuel line is, and i dont really wanna damage the car and spill fuel over the car park

that happened to a m8 once

she went to world dance (rave) and then next morning she started her car and it ran fine for about 30 secs then died

Like Gimp has already said, you won't be able to syphon it out through the filler as the neck will have an obstruction to stop you doing so.
You could check the tank to see if it has a drain plug and let the fuel out this way (remembering to do the plug back up afterwards of course).
Just out of curiosity, does a Punto actually hold enough fuel to make it worth your while nicking it in the first place?

if u can find the fuel line then dont cut it make 2 pin holes 1 pin hole drains it the other get the air to it so runs quicker then use summit to pick the fuel in like an old oil bottle or a few depeinfg when he last topped up his tank 2 liter coke bottles take um to school full then drink um till ur ready and then do it ur carrying a part bottle of coke wont rasie alarms will it?

Just put an aquarium pipe clamp on the petrol pipe , the car will run lovely for about two miles and then will quite simply break down .
Right swine to find , as no-one will check the underside for ages.
Always good for a laugh

try any car shop look for a haynes manual

Me and some m8s lifted another friends Mini from where he had parked onto some double yellow lines, cha ching one parking ticket and lots of confusion

instead on takin summit out put summit in get a bottle of caster oil and pour sum into the exchust(diffo check spelling) pipe and then wait till he drives off down the road when it gets hot enugh black smoke from it im sure he woud think the care is fuked

or u could start putin sum on the engine from under neith (last time i checked smoke comeing from there werent good)

thankyou for all of ur suggestions guys. i think im gonna go with urbs clamp suggestion, although cams 2 pin hole thing did sound pretty good.

oh and the guy has just been making a general nuisance of himself, nothing special in particular but he does deserve his car tinkering with.

Just make sure he doesn't find out it was you that did it !.
Shutting off the fuel to a car can cause the catalyst to go tits up.. VERY expensive repair

alot of fuel pipes are metal. and theres usually 2. a feed and a return..loads of things that can be done ie:
1. remove the valves from his tyres, do 2 cos they only have 1 spare and if you take the centre bit out he cant blow them up
2. drain out his oil, or most of it, will give him a expensive engine rebuid
3. block his exhaust pipe up, only stalls the engine, is harmless but fun
4. super glue the locks
5. grease under door handles


the list is endless. but the ultimate is paint stripper or cluch fluid on paintwork.lol
