Info Ebay - User Information Request (given to any member)

    Hi

Just wondered if anyone was aware that Ebay are issuing your personal details (including your telephone number) to any highest bidder (on request) of an item you have for sale, even if the auction has not finished and their feedback is zero.

    User ID:

    Name:
    Company:
    City:
    County:
    Country:
    Phone:
    Registered Since:

Seems wrong but having spoken to Ebay its within their terms and conditions

    B

Good to post as not all will know. I hate that they give out personal details like it is their right.

Anyone requesting details though also has their details sent to the other party.

Ditto - I got a fake Sony Memory Stick from ebay. Sold as "genuine NOT fake (I should have known better...)
It didn't work properly so I got the guy's phone number from ebay, he papped himself when I rang him. I got his address as well as his full name, no anonymity on there if you just ask.

I have no objections to a winning bidder getting access to my details but not any Tom, Dick or Harry who just so happens to be highest bidder at the time before the auction has ended.

If a bidder needs to ask a question just post it via Ebay therefore there is no need to contact me via my personal information.
