Correct!Had to upgrade my router as it was bottlenecking at 10000kb/sec download speed(did'nt have gigabit port's),with new router it's going at 13000kb/sec,roughly 1min to download a gig of data.

Just finished the game I thought it was far to easy It took my around 6hours to complete on the hardest setting saying that it only took me 5hours and 13 mins to complete mw2 on veteran lol. I am looking forward to online play. As you can feel the difference in the game play between this and the beta completely different

let me know what you think of the MP please Bobo, be interesting to see if it's any better than the beta. Not worth me buying it if the single player is that short.

The single player does handle better than the mp beta did, but we can't use that as a comparison as the mp element in these kind of games is always slightly different to the sp, i'll be getting it though i imagine, so i can do the tier 1 bit and the mp. I need something different to play and Reachs online play (except firefight) just isn't doing it for me.

The tier 1 mode seems to be a time attack mode from what i can see, but you can't play it without being online, which seems strange for a time attack mode. Maybe there is co-op involved in that?

I've read that there's no co-op.

@Russ - the SP will feel hugely different to the MP as they are made by different companies using different engines

IGN only give it 6.0 out of ten as well. Saying you'll breeze through the campaign in 4-6 hours and you'll get bored of the multiplayer maps v quickly.

Doesn't look good, reckon i'll miss this out on buying this and stick to my DL's

Played on a good bit more since, and am nearing what i gather is the end, if so, it is very short. I'm currently on a mountainside covered with snow after just crawling through a cave to find my compatriots again and we're tackling some mg nests on the mountainside. The frame rate is horrendous. The slowdown and inaccuracy of fire due to it is making the game almost unplayable. There is a lot going on, but its not something you expect from a AAA title.

It's a completely different engine for the single and multiplayer games. The single player is unreal engine 3, and multiplayer is some engine by DICE. Tbh i'm not even going to play the single player game, i'm only getting it for multi

Well their complaint seems to be it's too much like bc2, which for me isn't a bad thing. Mines shipped this morning from shopto so I'll find out tomorrow

The Mp was made by DICE, who did BFBC2. The issues ive heard about the MP are ::

NO PRONE - always a fucking issue with DICE games
GFX SCALED DOWN DRAMATICALLY
BORING MAPS
NOT ENOUGH VARIATION IN GAME TYPES
TRIES TO COPY EVERY OTHER GAME, NOTHING ORIGINAL
PATHETIC EXPLOSIONS

To be honest, I wasn't fond of the Beta, didn't like the way it "felt" wasn't "tight" at all if you get me.... plus the grenades felt like throwing apples at people.

To be honest i don't see why this is needed in the present market, we have MW2 (which i got bored of, but i know a lot of people still like) and we have HALO REACH, which for me is the best game i have played in ages, the MP is just fuckin boss.....

Also there is a Black OPS coming out soon, which should be good. But ive got a bit bored of the COD games to be honest

I got mine from shopto this morning, i don't even intend on playing the single player game, multi is a bit frantic at the moment, a cross between MW2 and BC2, I miss the BC2 classes, but i'm sure i'll get used to it

Pretty good so far, audio is superb, some of the best i've heard in an FPS

rented this this morning and thankfully I'm the first person to rent it and it has the online token inside it, I'd heard this online for the 1st purchaser thing mentioned before but wasn't aware it had been brought in yet.

Yeah, it's got the same VIP style code as BC2 did, I can see a lot of games going that way tbh, just to stop 2nd hand figures hitting their sales.

Crackin' game though, it's a good mix of the frantic action of MW2 and the co-operativeness of BC2.

Not played (or intend to) single campaign at all, but liking the multi so far, although miss the ability to be a medic or engineer etc and actually provide something apart from firepower to the battlefield.

You can buy the online pass for 800 ms pts on the marketplace. Not too bad if you are bothered about it, i suppose you'll still save money on buying it new.

Yeah FIFA 11 has online pass also but you can sign up for 7 day free trial so thats ok if your only renting for a week
