    Help My Site

    lo gents

I know I'm not a regular poster, but this site has taught me a lot. Just hoping for a cheeky request - looking for some feedback on my site:

    www.jonothon.co.uk/blog

Anyone able to suggest any improvements etc?

The root homepage is sh*t at the min - looking to get that sorted shortly.

    Cheers

    noj

I'm going to get straight to the point. Don't waste your time writing something nobody will read. The content is so banal part of me thinks it's a piss take. Albeit, a very poor one.

I'm posting this for your own good, no one wants to know about your life, not unless you have something interesting to say, which you clearly do not. Give up and do something more constructive with your time.

That was harsh, but you'll thank me at a later date. Unless you're deluded of course.

fook m8 - barely out the starting block and you shoot me down in fookin flames

Contents barely there yet, and I was asking about the design. It's mainly to keep family up to date at the min, nothing more

Guess I should give up my day job as a writer too - or perhaps you would prefer I slit my wrists, and take myself off the mortal coil so I dont risk offending you further

You asked for an opinion. Surely you wanted honesty?

I ignored the design because I knew instantly it was a wordpress template. So, the only thing left to critique was the content.

If you do slit your wrists, and it's a cry for help rather than a serious suicide attempt, try including a few photos in the subsequent blog post. That's blogging 101.

Besides which its a wordpress template so hardly your own work.
Only in Britain….do we use the word “politics” to describe the process of Government. “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking
    creatures”

yeah - its a wordpress theme, but I am learning HTML, CSS and basic Javascript HERE so that I can start to build a site from scratch myself - this is to fill the gap for the time being, till I can write my own.

Czar Junkie - would you like my blood bottled as a trophy? Or shall I bend over so you can shaft me first? Blog will be updated with your choice m8...

Perhaps I should start a poll?

    Thoughts on a postcard to:

He will probably draw enough blood for the bottled trophy when he shafts you

I tried to find summat positive to say about your site, but then I spotted the Chris Evans book

Your cheeky request got honest replies but it seems like you've taken them as cheeky.

Might I suggest you ask your family for feedback seeing has they are the poor buggers who have to look at it?

P.s. to Pattikins, apparently Richard Madeley (of Pinch & Judy fame) is more popular than Chris Evans, according to press reports. Would you have been more impressed had the book been Dicky Madeley's?

The Pepper bit was something I did for the Mrs - regrettably we cant have kids as I was born with leukemia, and am therefore infertile. Our pets are the closest we can get...guess your inebriated small brains cant conceive that.

Not taken it as cheeky at all - And I know the site isn't great -was just hoping for some feedback on how to improve; not to be told its a bag of wank and to effectively fuck off.

I gotta say, you lot have been a tad harsh. OK, perhaps he hasnt been as active as he should - but he's asked for an opinion and got it. Everyone's entitled to theirs.

All I have to say is a little more practice and learning HTML and CSS (and PHP) will make it look a lot better. More power to you for trying mate.

I guess being relatively new, he didnt realise he was setting himself up for a fall.

CJ's direct response did make me chuckle though - dont hold back - Both Barrels!
