Default i need some help here please

Hi, I want to build up some muscle, without going to the gym.

I dont want to look like a body builder, I just want to look a bit more muscly.

Can this be achieved at home, with press ups, sit ups etc?

Also, I realise I should be changing my diet, what foods would help me gain muscle and weight?

    thanks in advance

I have to ask first m8, why don't you want to go to a gym?

Anyway, to be honest, you aint gonna build much muscle without lifting 'proper' wieghts. Sure, if you exercise at home, eat healthy ie a low fat balanced diet, you can tone your muscles but you wouldn't see much in the way of growth.

If you do get some 'gym equipment' at home ie free weights, multi-gym etc. you can build muscle.

But there is no better place, in my opinion, to get fit & build muscle than a gym. You get access to various types of weights, machines that allow you to vary your workout for better results. Plus you get the atmosphere that goes with the gym. There's been many times I haven't felt like training, but once you get into the gym, you soon get in the mood.

So again in my opinion, try and go to a gym, but if you can't for whatever reason, buy weights/multi-gym for home use.

I just think it would be hard to find the time to go to a gym.

I dont want to build massive muscles, I just want to look a bit more toned.

First I will probably get the diet sorted out, then I will look into any gyms either near my work or my house.

    thanks for the reply
