Signal problems after Ultrasn0w?

Hi all,

I've got ultrasn0w on my iPhone 4 (4.1, baseband 01.59.00). Now when it works, it works well, I get about 4 bars in my room, brill. But then, for hours on end I'll end up with "No Service". I put the sim in another phone, it's fine, so it's not a signal issue, but then back in the iPhone, no service still. I've tried rebooting, powering off, no difference.

I go to carrier list, I can see the carrier in there, select it, but still no service.

Any ideas?

Try resetting your network settings. Seems like a common fix for these kinds of problems.

Cheers mate, tried that, no difference. I dont even get a signal, let alone a data connection to reset settings for

I used to get problems like this with blacksn0w. TBH i've never looked back since using official unlocks - o2 unlocked my 3GS officially and I bought my iPhone 4 sim free and wouldn't consider using a software unlock now unless I absolutely had to.

Having said all that, I haven't heard of any recent ultrasn0w problems though.

I've no idea what it could be, i've tried all sorts, powering off, taking sim out, putting voda one back in, got signal, put tmob in, no signal, sim fine in another handset though.

Uninstalled + reinstalled ultrasn0w, only option is to do a restore, and I can't be arsed doing that

Only thing I've seen in a brief search is to uninstall ultrasn0w, completely reboot the phone, turn off 3G, re-install ultrasn0w then re enable 3g.

Can't imagine why this would help but it's gotta be worth a shot

Looks like it's a problem with my SIM. Even though it works in my spare phone, i tried another different SIM on my iPhone and that works fine, so must be something about my SIM that my iPhone doesn't like. Have called t-mobile and got them to send me out a new micro SIM.
