Default Tossers: Selling car on Ebay

My brother has had a 4th Ebay sale fall through due to fucking mug bidders who've tried to back out And these are all people with +20 ratings, is it a waste of time trying to sell a car on Ebay? back in the day when neg reps could be given both ways, bidders were far less likely to take the piss.

I haven't used it for selling since I came to Switz 3 years ago. I wasn't aware that it had turned into such steaming pile of shit.

A mate of mine used to put ebay sales up for cars all the time but wouldn't actually sell them through ebay so the auction was just an advert. He has always had great success this way.

Second this comment, done it with my previous two cars and my Dad bought his car using this manner.

ive just started selling a couple of weeks ago.

2 out of 3 of the sales have been a complete bollock ache with utter wankers having won the auction.

    a) if i say paypal or cash it means that, no i dont want a fucking cheque that i have to go to the bank with for a 4 quid fucking sale.

    b) if the ad says uk only why the fuck have you bid if you want it sent to malaysia!

    utter cunts.

I've sold a few cars on ebay.

I put the car up at about 2k more than I want. It gets people interested and wanting to see the car. Then I negotiate outside of ebay at a more reasonable price. Haven't had any problems.

There are just too many idiots with laptops out there now, the price of laptops should go back up to over £1000 to put them all off buying them, they won't swap to a desktop as "they take up too much room"

never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups!

ebay was much better early in the last decade, when it was still somewhat exclusive.

Definitely too many clowns on there now; and the fact that a seller can't leave negative feedback for buyers is an absolute travesty....

I think thats the worst move they've made in a while, it's certainly put me off selling.

I'm trying to sell an IPhone on there, it's now been relisted for the 3rd time due to arseholes bidding with no intention to pay, or then not paying unless I agree to ship to a "friends" address in "nort yokshar".
    Fuck off Cunt.
