dunno if this has been posted before but just came accross this neat little patch that allows you to install almost any app/game straight to the SD card
iv'e applied it to my desire runing 2.2 and it works a treat but don't get carried away there's somethings that need to stay in internal memory to run properly but things like games and apps that don't require to be run at boot time seem fine
the phone doesn't need to be rooted either
