    Default Blu ray

I've a film thats 10.5GB in size (Blu ray).

Does this mean in order to view it in my blu ray player I need to burn it via a blu ray burner and onto a bly ray writable disc?

    Anyone?

    Regards

    What player is it?

Could you just not stick it on a USB stick or HDD formatted as NTFS or HFS and see if it plays?

If it's 10.5GB it won't fit on a DVD anyway mate unless you were to break it up?

What sort of player is it?

Some are strict on what they'll playback off different types of media, for example the LG ones playback files from various types of media but restrict HD audio to just BD playback only, and don't support it from other types of media or via streaming.

All I know is this BluRay.1080p.AVC.DTS-HD.MA5.1-CHDBits and its 10.5GB in size.

Owe the file format is Matroska File (.mkv).

Have tried tsMuxER but it produces a file thats over 11GB in size.

If I burn it onto a dual DVD disc am I right in thinking it will not then play as a blu ray?

I'm pretty sure it won't reduce the quality. You could try Advanced High Definition Video Disk Creator which won't reduce the quality.

What sort of player though mate - a Sony, LG, etc?

If it's an LG or Samsung you can just burn that file to a BD and it should playback fine as is without needing to convert it. Some Philips players also support MKV.
