getting back from birmingham airport early hours

need some help, im looking at going to cyprus for a few days to see the parents, but there stupid times for flights, i can get up to birmingham airport from south wales no problem, but its the getting back - flight would land 2am, but theres no trains, coaches etc first train is 6am...

Any suggestions on getting back cheaply as on a very limited budget, hotel is not an option as there £50+ and family are skin flints!

If there are no coach or trains, there is no cheap option other than sitting on your arse for 3-4 hours until there is!

what about kipping on a DF members couch or floor for a few hours, if there are any in the Birmingham area?

Your flight will be delayed, you'll take ages in baggage reclaim, and if you are lucky, you'll just catch that 6 o'clock train.

I did think about that, but once you cleared customs, factor in the travelling time (and cost) to and from someone's house, you might as well just pick your nose in the airport for 2-3 hours

No baggage as this really bumbs the price up! only hand luggage so no baggage reclaim, could arse about with customs and drag it out with them, but still left with an hour or two....

let the search begin for flights from london!

ive found a luton to larnaca for £44 and then larnaca to birminham for £73 with suitable times for transport back.

All in all £250 for a week away thats inc all transport and spending. lets find the money now
