    Default My new tatoo (No2)

Following on from my first post here below is my latest tattoo which is a Koi Dragon.

This one was done while I was in Turkey and the artist was Emrah who has a shop at the Grand Pasa Hotel in Marmaris, Turkey.

Below are a few pics taken during inking.

Took 1.5hrs and no pain at all.

    Cost 240tlr (About £110).

    Its called a Koi Dragon.

    Meaning:
The koi fish in Japanese folklore represents the overcoming of obstacles, because the koi fish travels up the yellow river and when it comes to the end of the river it transforms into the dragon; thus overcoming the adversity represented by the strong river to fufill its own destiny.
The Koi is the symbol of strength and will, the will to go against odds to reach the destiny. And the Dragon is the power and ferocity. The mystery and Aura.

The Koi Dragon is all about a re birth or new start/ begining. I.e. After a divorce/ bereavement signalling a new chapter in a strong willed persons lifrte. Thus enabling them to move on and start afresh.

Where did you have them done? What country has TLR as a currency?

Ignore that, just re-read the OP, fuck me you must be mad having it done somewhere like that!

No because I did some research first on the tatooist and if you searched Google he comes very highly rated and I would recommend him to anyone going to Marmaris Turkey.

He shows you the needles first which are all in date and everything is clean and tidy.

    Recommend him to anyone.

    PS,

One chap did come into the shop while I was getting inked and he showed us four names he had done the night before while drunk by a tattoo ship in Marmaris and they spelt his kids names all wrong.

Emrah my tattooist that day did a cover up for him and did a bloody good job.

Tip: Dont get tattooed while drunk and anyway Emrah will not tattoo anyone if they've has a few full stop.

Was it cheaper for ya misses's or did it cost more with him being naked?

£110 seems a good deal to me & it looks the biz, nice one!

Please post back when this heals up, I'm not one for knocking anyones tattoos but the shading looks a bit iffy on the Koi. I'd always be very wary of getting a tattoo done on holiday in somewhere like Turkey, Spain, Cyprus etc.
Again, not wanting to kick over a bees nest cause trouble, I really hope both tattoos heal well.
    Just my honest opinion.

Will post a new pic when its healed up and out of all the tattoo's I've had done this new one was painless and quick.

So far no side effects or redness and no complaints from me or my missess.

Not wanting to be an arse but I have to agree.

They do look very amateurish to me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. If you're happy with the tattoos then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. Having said that though, the dragon/fish looks like it was done by a 12 year old with a thick marker pen

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and in my opinion they are as I wanted and pleased with the outcome and I've seen far worse tattoo's done here in the UK and pics posted on DF.

2nd they are not poor at all.

    Regards
