Need some help finding rental accommodation

Ive just got a new job as an design engineer in Lydney south wales. Currently I am residing in Manchester. This is my first job after graduating from university and am required to find accommodation myself although the company is putting me up for 3 weeks in a hotel.
The reason for this post is I have no idea about renting properties and and finding it quite difficult to find anything.

I am looking for a 1 bedroom place with parking with bills included (Not a house share). Everything I have come across online seems to be either a house share or bigger properties. I will be taking my car with me so I am able to commute to lydney about 15/20 miles max.

Anyone got any advice shall I wait until I actually move to Lydney to find a place at the local estate agents or am I looking in the wrong places??

Maybe worth lookin for places in Gloucester or Chepstow as if i remember rightly Lydney is quite a small place. Gloucester or Chepstow should be within 20 miles and are much bigger towns

Oh Lydney is also classed as England and not South Wales

When I moved to Bristol I got someone at the new job to go through rightmove and send me 6 houses to view and viewed them all in one day. I was careful to look at a few different areas and put a deposit on a house to rent that day. Just be sure to budget estate agent fees as up north the renter never has to pay any fees but in Bristol I had to pay £450!

If you can't get someone to go through it then i'd just view as many properties as possible in one day with a view to sorting it all out there and then.

Cheers for the help so far.. Is it me or is it quite rare to get bills included in a flat?? or is this something that is included but just not mentioned??

I wouldn't expect bills to be included. I've never rented one but a few people who I work with live in flats in Bristol and they pay electric, gas, water bills etc.
