    Default Data recovery

    hi there what the best software to restore harddrive, i just installed new on into my pc when my spare one with my backup files on wasent reading i accidently pressed fromat but stop it can i recover my files if yes which one please tia

    Download Hiren Boot CD.
    Boot into Windows and insert the CD.
    Under File Recovery use GetDataBack.
    Just make sure you don't write any files to the drive you want to restore from.

    got hold of ver 12 gone through the dir can not see where it says file recovery unless i am looking in the wrong place

    Did you boot into Windows as normal, then pop the CD in?
    It should Autorun, then you should have file recovery menu.
    I'll download version 12 so we are both singing from the same hymn sheet.

    tried both version i have they both dont autoplay just go to open folder on the cd

    If you open My computer and right click the CD can you autoplay from there?

    Otherwise browse the CD and goto:

    HBCD - WinTools

    Then double click AutoRun
