Whats the game like? Is it worth the wait?

well had a few races now, so far it's pretty good, exactly what you expect from gran tourismo really, no great surprises. Graphics, although good, aren't as jaw-dropping as what I was hoping, but still early days yet, not seen any nice weather effects or fast cars

One thing that does annoy me is just how much loading there is between screens, like when you complete an event you then have to click to say yes/no then click to see your score and then click to quit (with loading between each one), they could easily have all that down to 1 click post-event, it gets really annoying tbh.

I'll have a proper go when I get home tonight but so far, it's good... was it worth the wait?? hmm, jury still out on that one.

Hopefully on a full install with disk it'll load quicker :|

This always was and still is my issue with the PS3, the load times, even with the games installed on the HDD and game data installed it just takes the fuckin piss..... WELL too long

Yep I did a full (8GB) install, the load times are still abysmal

The servers seem to be up now, so you don't hang on teh GT5 screen anymore, although gives you some random error about your date/time settings not being correct.

also, same as previous GT's, if i try to enter an event and i dont currently have the car equipped, but have it in my garage, ffs just ask me if i want to equip it instead of making me go back to main screen, then garage then selecting it.

Yes, and rightfully so tbh. There's no excuse for a game with such a pedigree and that's taken soooooo long to develop to have such issues. A few bugs, sure we can live with that, they'll patch them, but there are major UI issues which really affect gameplay which their QA department would have picked up on for sure.
