Thats been one of my main gripes with Hodgson this season lowering expectations before games...he's been doing it a lot.
I don't know whether he does it so that when we lose he can say "i told you so"
or he's doing it so if we win he can claim to be fantastic but he seems to have the mentality of a small club manager to me.
Roy mate your managing Liverpool it's your job to motivate the fuckers, even when you think to yourself we will probably lose don't go on fucking telly saying we expect to or would be happy with a point.Don't give the players a reason to not give 100%.

I think the FA cup comment is more based on the fact that a bigger team will definately going be out early more than him being a shit bag......he'll take care of the shit bag side of things the day before we play you.

Thats the beauty of the FA cup you can get barrow v Chelsea in the 3rd round or conversly get the two teams spawned from the devils trumpet Utd v Liverpool, good for the game and the competition.
The downside is you can get lucky draws all the way to the latter stages but rough with the smooth an all

I'm not going to compare the standard of the SPL and the EPL as their is an obvious significant difference but in terms of teams capable of winning the league the EPL is not much different to the SPL. With the exception of one lucky season by Blackburn the EPL has only ever had 3 teams win it since it began and in the last 6 years its only been Man Utd or Chelsea. So in terms of it being a 2 horse race you could easily say both leagues are being dominated by the same teams over and over every season! And I'm pretty sure that it will be between Chelsea and Man Utd for the EPL again this season too...

Ace performance Before anyone says it, the team Fergie put out should have won that match, but bar that early effort from Obertain West Ham looked so superior.
