GT5 League - Race Week 1

ADDITIONAL: ant3b will be hosting Race Week 1 so please remember to connect to his lobby. Settings will be open so please don't touch them. It's to allow me to delegate.

Also, please make sure you're already in your Go-Kart for before you join the lobby for the first race. We discovered a bug the other day that only let some people select Go-Kart from the Lobby list.

START TIME - 8:30pm Tuesday 7th December

Race 1: Go-Karts @ Rome
Race 2: Mini Cooper @ London
Race 3: Lancer Evo X @ Clubman Stage Route 5
Race 4: Gallardo LP650 @ Deep Forest Raceway
Race 5: Zonda '09 @ Cape Ring

Each race will consist of 5 laps.
Penalty will be set to Light.
All driver aids enabled.
5 minutes between each race to allow for toilet break/free runs/beer runs.

My heart sunk when I saw karts lol, I'm shit at them. It's nice to know what's coming up though, gives everyone time to get some practice in.

Joking aside (coz if I'm honest I'm sh*t at the game) - anyone else struggling with the cars "fish-tailing" when using a steering wheel (G25) and the driving aids off ?

Mate of mine who uses a pad very proficiently, tried my wheel and he was struggling like a good un also.

Any chance we can set it so people choose their own driver aids? I have been told this is possible???

I think that's what is meant. i.e they're available if you want to use all, some or none.

I think the host will select the car leaving it the only one you can choose from in the garage.

Reminder though guys, you need to select the Go Kart before joining the lounge. It won't let you select it as a car once you are in there... if it's fixed to Go Karts it only allows you to select the last car you used in GT Mode. Odd, I know.

Gonna have a go with all the driver aids off...this (theoretically) means I could go faster than with the aids on, right?

You should definately be able to lap quicker with aids off, as long as you can control the power/braking effectively.

Think its been confirmed that all aids are "available" but not enforced, so you can have racing line on if you want it etc.

One other question, what tires will we be using?

Guys racing line will be turned off. I don't consider it a driving aid, more a "cheat". If you think this is unfair, man up. It's not like I know the perfect line myself but part of the game is learning the best path
