I didn't mind the Zonda too much - just took a few attempts to realise how little in the race you can go full throttle.

Thought the Lambo's were worse, I'm struggling with the Lambo challenge race at the moment on the rural road too.

There was a lot of background noise, someone having an offline conversation with someone a lot - was that Clubber Lang?

Zondas were fun with all driving aids off! lol

Just need to remember to pick the hard racing compound, soft only lasts 2 laps or so of Cape Ring.

    3. Penalties need to be set higher if this stops ramming.

    Lighty.

I have a gigabit router etc and wired.

Also it looked laggy because i choose the recommended settings by GT5.. for example race updating was set to medium... etc

Someone else can host next time .. and have the luxury of booting people out the rooms pain in the arse
Agree, higher penalties to stop ramming. Personally I would have kicked folk out the room for ramming after giving them 1 warning (maybe 2 if it appeared that some might have been accidental). That's just me tho, the whole reason I stopped playing Prologue online was due to folk ramming and not being able to get a clean reace.

Also, can you not have private rooms so you don't have to keep kicking folk off? If they are not invited, then they can't join the room kind of thing??

i think the background convo was probably me at some points, had friends phoning me during the race, my choice was to take my headset off then answer phone or just have my phone call.

Sorry guys, was a bit lashed last night. Went with my mate to get some Famous Grouse from Sainsburys as it is on offer, ended up drinking a whole bottle between us. I promise i'll be quieter next week.

Gutted, was hoping GT5 had private rooms, would make it much better TBH. Gonna look into it just incase there is some odd way you can do it that probably involves going into several sub-menus and ticking a box or something (if it can be done at all that is).

I think if you make the room from "my lounge" instead of the normal online lounge, then you need to have the host on your friends list to join.

I thought that was what he had done - did think it was strange as I have had races with my mates before online and never had randoms joining . . .

Just had a chance to have a look at the replays and it does seem that a few people were having lag issues - the start of the Lambo race and especially the Evo one, I had a great battle with Herman, pleasure racing with you.

That wasnt meant to be a dig at you!

I thought they were supposed to be dedicated servers anyway, so theoretically it shouldnt affect other people, whatever your own connection was like?

Thats part of lag i think because ure not supposed to go through other cars. When we played and there was only 6 or so of us on there was non of that.

Also were people changing their tyres?

    Hi,

If another car has a time penalty, then their car becomes transparent and no collisions are detected. You can drive straight through these cars.

It does on the drivers screen who has the penalty....I said this about 30 posts back lol!

I don't mind redoing it, but I think there is gonna be someone unhappy every week about something or other, thats the nature of online games/lag, so lets get this shit nailed down and anyone not happy for whatever reason will have to just lump it.

A bit of the action from last night - Mini's, Evo's and Lambo's.

Shame the replay editing options are not a patch on Forza's..........

I think we should scrap this week's results and treat it as a "Preview". I've definitely realised a few things that need a bit of tweaking to make the experience more enjoyable.

When the karts started for me everyone had already started and gone off in the distance! I came 5th although the whole race it said I was 2nd although I knew I wasn't, I don't think the game is quite there yet.

Agree with scrapping this weeks results, it's not like I didn't want to race, it just wouldn't let me!
