Default Recommend me a new car please, 3k max

Last week, traffic stopped in front of me, and so did I, but the driver behind decided to use the back end of my Scenic to stop instead!

Hatch is buckled and stuck locked down, bumper smashed to bits, and I can see through one of the holes in the bumper that the boot floor is bent too, so I'm assuming the worst and a write off.

Hoping to get £1000 to £1500 if it is written off, so looking to spend up to 3k on something reliable and less than 10 years old.

Had the repairers on the phone yesterday with their estimate, £2445, lol, think that might just make it a total write off, just waiting for a phone call off my insurance company now to let me know either way.

I quite fancy the idea of a 2wd/4wd vehicle such as the Honda CR-V, HR-V, Subaru Forester, Audi A4/A6 Quattro Avant, etc, anyone got any opinions on them please?
