Cher knocked out of X Factor - but stroppy star insists she didn't want to win anyway
Stroppy Cher Lloyd crashed out of The X Factor last night – ranting: “I didn’t want to win anyway.”
The tantrum-throwing teenager looked defiant as she was booted off the show – watched by a massive *audience of 20 million.
Wannabe rapper Cher smiled as the announcement came that she had polled the lowest number of public votes out of the four remaining acts.
And in a parting shot backstage, belligerent Cher said: “You haven’t seen the last of me, definitely not.
Earlier in the week she “flipped out” during a rehearsal – screaming at production staff: “You can stick the X Factor up your a***.”
She kept saying she knew she had no chance of winning through to tonight’s final – and even claimed there was a conspiracy against her
After one particularly shaky *rehearsal she pointed at the show’s choreographers and singing coaches, shouting: “You lot have wanted me out from the beginning. All of you have.
“I know Danni and Louis have hated me from the beginning – but I don’t care. I couldn’t give a f***. I’ve got *Cheryl Cole, that’s all that matters.”
Her outburst was met with an embarrassed silence. A source said: “No one could believe a 17-year-old could be quite so disrespectful to a group of seasoned professionals with a lot of experience in this industry.”
Sulking Cher then sneered: “I didn’t want to win anyway. I’m going to make it anyway. You lot can stick it up your a***.”
She then stuck two fingers up and stormed out of the room.
Our source said: “These kind of outbursts have become a regular occurrence over the past few weeks. While no one will admit it, most people are absolutely delighted she’s off.”
Even Simon Cowell, a big fan of Cher’s, has referred to her as a “brat”. And her mentor Cheryl Cole had a bust-up with her two shows ago after Cher refused to put on a united front with Rebecca Ferguson in front of the audience. Cher from Malvern, Worcs, stormed off the stage in tears.
Matt Cardle, Rebecca and boy-band One Direction – who will battle it out in tonight’s live final – became so annoyed with Cher’s moodiness they avoided speaking to her.
A source said: “The others were in pretty good form all week and they were determined not to be distracted by her. They are all sick and tired of the extra attention Cher got because of her temper tantrums. Cheryl has been calling her all the time just to make sure she is OK and not on the verge of another meltdown.
“It really hasn’t been fair on the others that she gets this level special treatment and they will be mightily relieved now she’s gone.”
