iphone has been synced with another itunes

Hi,

When i first got my iphone (3gs) i set it up on my pc running Windows 7 but have since formatted and gone back to XP. I tried adding itunes and syncing phone to my laptop but i get an error saying iphone is synced to another itunes do you want to erase the iphone and sync to this itunes?

Obviously i dont want to lose whats on my phone so is there a way round this?
