Excellent. I'll be updating asap, though I havent a clue how to actualy update (xbmc live, not xmbc windows) rather than format and start again !

I tried their DXVA2 on the last beta and still couldn't handle HD x264 where the DSPlayer build could cope. I don't think DXVA2 was a priority for this release so will have to wait. DSPlayer is a little unstable and can crash.

I'm trying to use this instead of MPC on my HTPC. Can it handle hi-def audio (DTS-HD Master etc.) yet?

been waiting for a major release before i made the switch from a live install to a full manual affair. at the mo my 9.11 install seems a bit unreliable with covers and adding new media in library mode but just couldn't be bothered to mess with it.

I have been updating with Dharma since the very first Beta's on my Revo.
1080p playback is Awesome - DTS/Dolby fully supported. This is what XBMC is meant to be.

I'm surprised you lot are still on 9.11, come over to the dark side - it's sooooo much better.

DSPlayer is also old hat on Dharma. Integrated VDPAU with XBMCLive/XBMCFreak.
My Revo seems odd (flickers) with a full Windows 7/Ubuntu install, so I still recommend the Live route. But if you need to have the full cinema experience. Upgrade! You will not regret it.

BTW - This is the same as mine (Night Skin with TV Logo support) -

    Ellipsis

or Shade is also pretty awesome.

go on then, I'll bite. What are the resources / sites / files I'll need.

Currently running 9.something which was modified with the nvidia linux drivers available at the time and may well have been xbmcfreak (rings a bell)

I watch the images thru hdmi but I need the audio through optical. I also would need my cyberlink remote to still work. Maybe an install to SD or USB stick might be in order first, before I break my HD install ?

Personally I went for the XBMCFreak's Live CD. I loaded it to a USB Pen Drive using Unetbootin and booted from it. Let the installation process run through (You can boot straight to XBMC from this Pen drive without installing too).

Once installed, unmmuted the sound device then added my Library. Jobs a goodun.
All ION Drives and the like is already in the XBMCFreak version.

The creator of which is now part of the Official XBMC Team!

So expect the newest release to have natively support for the ION Chip.

They have a Maverick supported version of Dharma RC2, but maybe worth waiting a day or 2 til the Final Release is available.

    OK. Forget all that-

    INSTALL THIS BAD BOY NOW!!
    http://xbmc.org/download/

XBMCFreak is probably going to discontinued now as the creator is involved with the original builds and all his edits are integrated (supposedly).

Boot from Drive, install XBMCLive, follow onscreen instructions. Finished.

You tried running it from the USB Pen drive to see if it works that way?
