Halo ODST / Reach

Old I know, but I'm a long term Halo fan, and played 1,2 and 3 through non stop, but haven't played any 360 at all for over a year, concentrating mainly on ps3 stuff.

What I'm wondering is if the single player campaign on ODST is any good or should I go straight for Halo Reach ? Should I play ODST before reach or doesn't it matter ?

I'm not concerned about multi player and can get ODST for around a tenner, with reach about £25 on pre-owned, just want to know if ODST campaign is worth playing through, for a halo fan ?

Reviews online are really mixed. If it's a Halo, I don't want to have missed it but I've read that the damage/aiming systems are quite different and I don't want to bother if it'll disappoint me.

Saying all that I've found it for £8 delivered (preowned) at Gamestation

I got reach yesterday from gamestation for £25. New copy, not pre owned (Caerphilly store). Pre owned was £22. So no brainer to get the new.

I've seen it for £22 preowned but would go for a new one for £25 so might have a wander into town tomorrow. We've got Game and Gamestation here.

ODST campaign is just boring, the mp is good as its halo 3 with all the DLC but now that reach is out thats obsolete anyway.

You will love reach mate I thought it was brilliant. Odst is worth playing too , some good set piece battles.

I did like ODST. Makes it a bit harder being a grunt aswell

I watched a couple of gameplay videos and it 'looked' like halo. I'm not sure I will like the health system searching for health packs etc. but otherwise it looked promising. Time will tell ;-)

First chance I've had to play this today and I am absolutely loving ODST. Reach can stay sealed until I've finished it. Bargain for £7

I've recently completed reach! loved the story. who would have thought in the end, that he was his father!

got uni tomorrow, will pop in gamestation (Newport) and get odst if its still £7.
