Soft Modded Wii wanting to update to play Sports Resorts?

Hi, I have soft modded my wii which is fully working with the hard drive however i am trying to play Sports Resorts which came with it but it is wanting me to update the wii to play it, can I do this or will it do something to the machine?????????

Are you on 4.2e? If not, it is OK to go to 4.2e but don't auto update using the Wii. Use the guide here

are you using neogamma? I use it for all games,not just copies.has update blocker on it!

hi im already on 4.2e and yes im using neogamma but am playing all games from usbloader when i try to load wii sports resort it just returns back to the wii screen and if i put the original disk in its asking me to upgrade the wii...........

i would use the 4.2e upgrade ofline files, my wii was on 4.2e but the update had more uptodate iso's on it

all sorted just borrowed the original and let it play through the video at the begining then saved now works perfect
