I do a lot of downloading via Astraweb using SSL conection and being able to download a dvd in 4 minutes is worth the tenner to me
10mb upload - that's fucking brilliant.
Ooh you are in West Yorkshire, might have to have a look see if I can get it. Are there any hardware changes or is it done behind the scenes???

Just swapped out the modem and D-Link router for an all-in-one Superhub
He tested the line, changed the attenuator for a +5 and then had to get Virgin to connect it to the network via his hand held tablet.
Took about 20 mins
opps
*sigh* my mobile broadband solution doesn't always seem so great. I am happy when I see a steady 400kb/s
I'm new to this
So wants that then 48 quid a month for just broadband can download a film in under a minute bet 100mb is impressive

sweet mate!
still rocking 8mb here lol
I've had lots of different experiences with their throttling on both ssl and standard newsgroup ports during peak hours there not throttling anything other than peer to peer and services like bt. Can see why there doing it. But they did increase the upload to 5 mb. Wich is nice of them lol they will screw you at some point what other uses would you have for 100 mb broadband lol than download movies lol 20mb covers most everyday use
Wish I was a virgin ummm sorry a virgin customer
