Fastest web browser?

I,m using Windows 7 64bit ultimate.
I have been using Firefox for the last couple of years but of recent i ve noticed it seems to take longer to draw the page images.
Ive got a very well spec'd pc and have just put an Ocz vertex 2 SSD in it with the main Os on it , 100mb broad band as well so the thing should fly!
I was wondering after looking around that some say Opera, some say Safari is the fastest But what do you guys think?

Seconded, although I prefer the plug ins etc... of FireFox.

Fire bug is great if you are a web developer anything really is better than IE lol

I think some statistics and such show that Chrome is the fastest at rendering pages.

It's a shame the UI is a bit of a mess, I quite like the fact Firefox is close to the UI of IE... I can't use Firefox at work due to issues with some web applications but flicking between them isn't an issue.

Been on Chrome for pc and mac for a while. Much faster than alternatives. That said, I don't use any plug ins on any browser

Recently switched to Chrome and have found it to be exceptionally fast. On a works PC, which isn't horrendously underpowered but requires a lot of very resource heavy apps open at once, Chrome completely outstrips IE, Opera and FF.

On my PC here at home it's blisteringly fast.

That said, IE9 Beta ran really really quickly so I'll be having a dabble with that when it's fully released.

I've tried Chrome on and off and simply can't get used to the UI. I've used Firefox for the past few years, have Xmarks syncing my bookmarks and Firebug for dev tools. The javascrip rendering is now almost insignificant between the two anymore so I've stuck with it.

chrome is good, i hated it at first and missed the layout of firefox/opera etc, but for some reason I stuck with chrome and I never bother with anything else now, maybe im just lazy. It is definetly faster though, going back to FF or anything else feels slower.

I started using the beta 9 of the new Firefox 4 and have to admits its much quicker and the layout seems a hell of a lot better this time around .. only issue I have with Chrome and Firefox at that are the memory munching the 2 browsers do

But at a push I would have to say I like my firefox for my RSS stuff as I cant seem to get them working properly on Chrome.
