Zafira 1.8 (LPG)

Just bought myself a 07 Zafira with an LPG conversion on it... it is high milage as its been used as a motorway vehicle, it has 90,000 on the clock and has FSH with it, Overall I am very happy with my purchase as I needed a 7 seater for the family...

I have two issues though... its taking a while to warm up of a morning and cuts out about two or three times in five minutes, then runs like a dream for the rest of the day. Should I just throw it in and see if my local garage can shed any light on it?.

Also the LPG system is a bit off... when I got the car I was able to get 45 ltrs into the gas tank.. I let it go onto the red so I could guage how much fuel I can actually get into it, but at my local garagfe I can not get any more than 25 ltrs in.. any idea's?.

Overall I am chuffed with it.

It may be the LPG freezing that's causing it to cut out , try running on petrol for a few minutes at start up , the tank may be half full of air I think there should be a valve to let the air out as you fill it but I'm not sure .

When I had my last car LPG converted, the person who converted it advised to always start it on petrol first, so he set it up to do this automatically and then once warm it would switch to LPG. No idea why but it said other garages set it up to just start on LPG but he would not recommend it.
