Default Premier league footie on non UK satellite

I did a quick search on here and a bit of googling, thinking it would be easy to answer this question, but I haven't found the answer yet!

What is the best way to get a setup at home to watch the Premier League football on one of the non-uk european satellites (ie not SKY)? I did think of investigating this before, but the recent news story about the Pub owner showing the games on Greek satellite has renewed my interest.

I know you need to pay a subscription to a foreign broadcaster, so where can you buy the equipment and cards from and how much does it tend to cost per month?

    Thanks.

Well a sky itailia card is over a £1000 imo is the best and you would need a dish on 13e. Or a tring card and an 80cm dish pointing at 16e. Plus you will need a decoder. It's not cheap to set up. Or you can have best of both worlds and get a motorised dish.

J-Tag 360 RGH 360, PS3 Super Slim, Xbox 360 Slim, WDTV Live with CFW, Vu+ Solo 2, Dreambox 500HD Connected to 1M Motorised Dish.

Wooo over £1000!? I thought this was supposed to be a cheaper alternative to Sky, with the added benefit of getting even more games (especially the 3pm KOs)?

What about this Greek system that has made the news recently?

I've had a few receivers so far & I'm looking at a spiderbox now to specifically get tring. £169 sounds good for the packages it opens.

I'll look again at the packages that are available with those receivers. On Wednesday the Bolton v Wolves game was only on viasat - another package I can't get (tring is the other one).

The little old maxx 1000 receiver has served me well & was only £60. I want to fill the gaps though, at least on Wednesday night the game was on in the pub.

Ypu would be hard to get a better hd box for the same mony , you can get a open box for 90
But the quality of the hd on the spider is realy good.

Sounds like this could be the way to go, but I'm totally out of touch with the sat scene so it looks like more research is needed!
