You could start by posting an INTRO in the "introduce section" as you are seen as a leecher. as said also why not READ

It is easy to find as it is one of the top sections on DF. But as your a noob simply click on the link below this. this will take you to the "intro section".

This will make a new post thread. You can then tell the lovely people all about yourself. Please take time to read up on the DF Rules. If you need a link to them ill send you one. Have a great time on DF

Personally having tried a few cards the best one out there is the CycloDS Evolution.

They have just released the newer CycloDS iEvolution which works on the DSi and the new 3DS but is also backward compatible with the DS lites.

That's the card I'd suggest - it's not the cheapest, but it will be worth it in the long run - far too many cheap clones and generally poor quality copies of the other cards out there and noe of them are as well supported as the Cyclo.

Can't post links as it's against the rules, but a quick look on google should sort you out with a supplier

Sorry - I wouldn't recommend any other card personally - yes they are more expensive than the others on the market - but still only around the price of a single game!!!!

they are more expensive for a few reasons - the main one being the quality of the components and build of the cartridge. The other is the aftersales support - the cyclo forums are full of useful info and help is quickly available for any issues you might have. For example there are frequent firmaware updates to play new games when copy protections change.

They are a doddle to set up - just copy the games you want onto the MicroSD card, put that into the cartridge and then the cartridge into the DS, switch it on and select a game from the nice menu and play - simple as that

The cartridge will have some version of firmware on it yes - but may not be the latest one - the latest stable versions are always available on the cyclods homepage and the beta versions (updates that may contain bugs but have been released to fix specific problems or testing new features etc.) are on the cyclods forums.

Updating the firmware on the card is a doddle as well - download the update, copy it onto the MicroSD card, put in the cartridge and switch on, it will detect the update, ask if you want to install it, and when you say yes it will install the update and ask you to switch it off and back on again - takes about 1 minute usually and then you're in business with the latest firmware

Acekards are a close second in my opinion, and MUCH cheaper. The old R4 and the millions of clones out there are pretty good now as they can run the wood firmware, which is currently well supported. I'd stay away from TTDS cards, the genuine ones are ok at best, but the clones can be a pain in the ass when it comes to updates and due to the nature of these things, you can never be sure if you are getting a legit one or a clone.

I usually tell people to get a 2gig as its big enough, personally I have an 8gig cos I like having all my games available, although the majority of them are RPGs which have started coming down at 128 and 256 meg roms, which soon fill up a 2 gig. If the DS is just for kids, most of the games for them are much smaller.

looking at current prices, it looks like a 4gig is only a quid more than a 2gig, so you mite as well go for that.
