Found an iphone 4

My mate found an iphone 4 but can't get into the phone because of the pass, is there a way around this?

you could try putting the phone into DFU/Recovery mode and restore might work not sure though

A good point. But... It also stops people getting to your data.

When it has been noticed they will ring it. You can then answer it even with the passcode. So will be able to arrange a place to send the phone. Or for the owner to pick it up.

At least I hope that is what most people do.

I have it on because I connect to my exchange at work and it's a forced policy, I'd rather not have a pin but I'd rather have my mail more.

That's exactly what I did when I found one. I even got a thank you card, box of choccies and a tenner to reimburse postage.

It let you get into the phone book - does that still work?

I found an iPhone 4, I found I simply took it into the apple store and handed it in, they used the phones serial number to track down its owner and took my number, I got a phone call a week later to say thanks and he asked for my address, the guy then actually called round and gave me a voucher for apple for £25. He told me he didnt specifically buy it for me it was bought for him but thought i might like it.

BTW you didnt find it in manchester did you? my mate lost his at weekend last week.
