Suppose it could depend on the T.V's spec mate as some are used just for firmware updates I believe.

    So is that a yes?

If so is there a need for a file conversion to be done for plug and play or is it a straight hd download plonked on stick

    Good to go

You probably just upload it onto the USB then plug it in... try it and find out.

There's some fake ones out there that are priced too good to be true but other than that pretty much anything should do.

Here's the manual for your TV - http://www.lg.com/lgecs.downloadFile....pdf&TC=DwnCmd

You could probably actually go with a usb hard drive if you wanted lots of storage.

I've checked the tech specs and it says it will read MKV files... Virtually all the HD content I've ever found comes in this format (except porn lol).

It also reads NTFS formatted external drives/USB Sticks which means it will let you copy files over 4GB in size to it... Virtually all HD feature length films would require this... The smallest 720p film I've seen is just over that limit. The untouched blu-ray version of Avatar - Extended Edition weighs in at about 36GB...

If you want to download lots of HD stuff and use torrents I reccommend ditch them in favour of a newsgroups subscription and an internet provider that doesn't have a 'fair useage policy '.
