Do babies have religion?

Got my census this morning. It seems ridiculous to me that the "householder" has to answer the questions on behalf of everyone in the house, including writing down what religious beliefs a new born, zero day old baby has.

Technical they are whatever religion you say they are. They don't get a choice if you choose to baptise them.

Conformation of Christianity is done by free will and is why it is done when the person is old enough to understand.

Most people put down Church of England even though they haven't been to church in 20 years. Just because they happened to have been christened. Again... Ups the numbers of the religious.

You can be fined for not completing it

got mine today, havent looked at it yet tho, but children would be whatever you said they were as far as religion is concerned

Binned mine too as I did the previous one. You can't make me fill out a form as it's against my personal religion.

It is yes, but it's used to make decisions by the government and local councils. Like whether to build faith schools etc.

You have to have the code from the paper copy so no good if you've binned it.

Which is why it's important to put down your true views. If you don't believe in god, don't put Christian down. And don't put JEDI down either....

If you don't fill it in the chances are at the very least you will eventually have people coming to your front door bugging you fill it in. If you say you don't have the form, they will produce a new one. They will come back if you say you are busy.
