I've got a few landscape photos that I'd like to try to stitch together , can anyone recommend some easy to use software for this (& any free download links )

I downloaded one the other week called hugin - seems easy enough so maybe worth a try.
I'll sort out a link when I'm on the computer next (on the phone now).
edit - here you go: http://hugin.sourceforge.net/

No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...
Thanks, will try it out soon
Hugin is my no 1 choice for this as well. Normally does a very good job on its own but its also very flexible - I like that it can export aligned files that you can blend yourself in photoshop, sometimes helpful when the auto blend chops people in half!
I had a prog called "Serif Panorama Plus" cant remember if it was free or a demo. Just dragged and dropped pics into it, set quality and set it away.
If nature always takes the easiest route, what's easier...?
The creation of billions of galaxies each containing trillions of stars each with their own solar systems, some with planets that have evolved civilisations with billions of different life forms. OR The creation of just your imagination?
If you have Adobe Photoshop CS or later then it comes with a photo stitching feature called PhotoMerge, from memory I think it's under File -> Automate. You can also start it through Adobe Bridge.

Yeah I used to use autostitch, but I think it's gone commercial now.

Photoshop has that feature built in and it is free....! :
I use a free app from m$ called Microsoft ICE its pretty lightweight and quick and lines up loads and loads of photos making the image as big and detailed as you can get because you dont have to limit yourself to panoramas, I've took 65-70 images and loaded them all in and it pops out an image thats admittedly huge both in dimentions and file size -250/300mb per compiled image but it depends on the res you shoot the images in and how many there are

Thanks Casio, not had much luck with Hugin.
[EDIT]
Even less luck with ICE, cant even run the programme on my old PC

The photomerge option in PS is ok but can be flaky at times, i use a portable version of Arcsofts Panorama maker which is great and is pretty simple to use but with options to tweak the final image if needed.
I use Hugin - it's great!
i use
ArcSoft Panorama Maker
did this with 6 photos original size is 13122 x 2360
