proper pissed off with local petrol stations

our local petrol stations are not passing on the 1p cut, both are independants but the fact is when petrol goes up they put their prices up instantly!

they are saying they dont want to do the 1p cut because the petrol they have was bought at the dearer prices. yet as i mentioned when there is a price rise they instantly put the price up regardless of when they bought thier existing stock/supplies.

this is the same petrol station that a few years ago when the blockades were on they put a sign up saying "hackney taxis only" or black and whites depending where your from.

we could not be arsed travelling a further 10 miles to the main petrol stations as i only wanted enough for our lawn mower but it really pisses me off

During a national fuel shortage (that lasted only about 5 days) you thought "I know, I'll fill up my petrol mower - that lawn can't wait!"

Pay for your petrol then take 1p for every litre you spent from the spare change tray on the counter. Either that or you sneak a can of coke in your pocket on the way out.

I've given up trying to even fight the cunts. A penny a litre... would save me 50p. Take 20p/litre off... 30p/litre, then we're talking but whilst there is no main regulation on what petrol stations can sell their fuel at, the governments 1p cuts mean jack shit.

I've taken to cycling a lot more. Mainly to work on early shifts. I don't cycle on the late shifts because I finish at midnight and don't really want to cycle alone at that time of night. Also can't be arsed, just want to get home by that point.

Cycling the early shifts is saving me about £40/month and 4.5 miles of my journey is on a cycle path alongside the river.

Just out of curiosity does the government not take about 70% of the price as tax? And that the actual garage only make a small percentage from the overall price, so shouldn't we be annoyed at Mr Osbourne rather than the petrol companies?

1p is on one litre, so if you filled up for a tenner and fail to pay 1p, well you are still out of pocket.

det its about £1.30 here so if you put £10.08 and say sorry it shot up fast and you only have a tenner, then you will get your 8p duty back.

I use the petrol prices website on the day that I need fuel and just check the postcodes of my work and home to find the cheapest in the area and I just go there.

Since 2005 when I got my first diesel car I always used Shell fuel, now I can't be bothered as they're often 2p a litre cheaper - that's about a £1.30 saving on a tank for me.

WTF is going on now? Petrol station near me was 134.9 before the budget for petrol and stayed that way till late the next day when it went down by 1p. Went past last night and its back up to 134.9!
Tesco and Asda was both 128.9 before the budget i didnt go and look as i didnt need petrol till yesterday. Its gone UP to 129.9!!! How the hell can we save a penny then lose 2 pence just a week later.
