Windows 7 license

Hi,

Just put together a new machine and am looking to throw windows 7 onto it. The license key I'm using is from another machine that is out of action, so, you know, its legal enough.

Only thing is, The sticker itself says "Windows Pro 7 64BIT OA" or something like that, I don't recall the exact wording but it defintely had an 'OA' at the end, does anyone know what this is? Is it a specific type of license that may not work on a new build?

you will need to use the same build of OS with the serial or it wont work.

OA means OEM Activation. i.e. You don't have to activate it yourself.

When you come to activate it on an different computer you will probably get an error along the lines of 'already installed on another computer'.

Fair enough, cheers lads. I'll look around for something else, anyone recommend whats the latest stuff for activating 7?

OEM requires SLIC2.1 in BIOS and a SLP key and cert installed. Latest fixes are chewWGA, RemoveWAT and daz's loader.
