I understand that iPhone (click-button) headphones also work on the SGII. This will be important since I have about 4 pairs (car, home, work etc..) of these headphones.

Hey, anyone know how to keep the internet user:agent as desktop? I've been having to change it everytime I open up the app as it goes back to custom!
The wait is killing me, initially it was 2 - 3 days and now they're saying that due to nationwide shortages I may have to wait several weeks
I wish I hadn't been so hasty selling my iPhone

I've had my S2 for a week now and I'm very impressed so far. The screen is beautiful and the whole thing feels very nippy!
Remember I posted about news from Samsung re: the screens, there is a major shortage of the SAMOLED plus screens, even then they were saying that many phones would NOT be supplied with them. If they are already suffering a shortage of phones they might not have that particular screen on return, that was the case with the desire. I don't think I would have an issue as there are cons with AMOLED as we all know but just a heads up if it's an issue for you.

had a chance to play with this today. The screen is excellent and extremely vibrant and the os is pretty zippy (dual core and all that) but its not good enough to drag me away from ios. Android is really clunky and the apps and games selection is really poor in comparrison. The phone itself is nice but extremely light and the plastic is not as good as i had hoped. Camera is excellent and definately better than the iphones camera. I need to play a bit more tbh but so far its a nice phone but just not an iphone 4 replacement for me.
The main selling point of android is that it is open source. To take advantage of that you'd have to use some of the custom roms that are available. The "clunkiness" you speak of, is probably the samsung bloat that is added to android. The clean version of android isn't clunky at all. The Market needs some work still, that I would agree with. But not being attached to itunes is a worth a million iphones. I hated itunes.
I personally have only found one app on ios that I wanted on android (which is now actually on android). But I do find navigating the app store to be more joyful than navigating the market. But at least google are aware of this. And with companies like Amazon able to start up their own android app stores it is only going to get better.
I think Apple have to bring out a cutting edge iphone 5 now to keep ahead of android as they are improving very quickly.
Got mine yesterday, and I can tell its going to require a lot of work to get it to a half-way acceptable Iphone botherer. The hardware is fantastic, really love the handset but I just cannot abide by the clunkiness of Touchwiz on top of Android with all these apps being duplicated, and not being sure what's what (e.g. there are 3 apps for email, two market places.. WTF?) And I still haven't found a decent alternative to iTunes, Doubletwist is giving me hours of headaches and it cannot properly handle both memories on my phone (internal and SD). Sometimes only the internal memory shows up under device, sometime both. And it never remembers my settings, so I've set it to manual sync so I can double check prior to each sync that I'm not sending music to the wrong place.

Well I got an S2. Sorted the contacts problem with car. .
Although battery is a bit poo. I have been playing Grand Prix Story and well the battery even when charging seems to get sapped. Any ideas?
Turn the brightness down - when up high it eats the battery! Also get rid of most of the widgets - they may look nice but I find they hit the battery usage quite a bit too.

yeah brightness is at its lowest and only have one widget on which is poweramp.
I also may add Grand Prix Story is a 2d non intensive graphics game. It does get very hot though while playing games
