Default Changing DNS Servers, easy process ?

How easy is it to change dns name servers ?
Ive just used 1and1 for domain name registering and thought id try out 000webhost for hosting it.000webhosts provide the details i asume i need (nameservers ect) but when i try and do this with 1 and 1 (the registrars) They issue all sorts of warnings in their help section ..... "only for experienced users" "you could really mess things up" etc etc
    So my question is
    1.Is this really a simple process ?
    2. Are 1and1 being arsey because your not using their servers
Hope someone can help as i dont want any problems

Thanks for your help , but there is no option for me to do that with 1 and1. Their help section tells you how to do it but the Admin option is not a clickable option.
Im awaiting their email reply if anyone else has the same problem.

be very carefull with free hosting 000webhosts are known to pull sites without warning.
if its a site you want to keep up and running then look at paid hosting, hostgator are very good and only £7month for unlimited domains and databases on 1 account, all y money making sites run from hostgator.
Only in Britain….do we use the word “politics” to describe the process of Government. “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking
    creatures”
