That's how I learned initially - you have to have an interest to start with. I did a computing degree and have been a professional developer for the last 15 years. Those principles learnt through interest have never gone away, and I can remember reading most of the basic computer books in the library in my early teens. No reason why kids nowadays cant go the same route.

You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.

    official pricing
thinl i will get a couple
    Raspberry Pi Computer Price
Offering basic functionality and a variety of programming and hardware lessons for a basic price, the two Raspberry Pi models have been handed very wallet friendly price tags.
Kicking things off with the Ethernet hosting Raspberry Pi Model B, the higher-end of the two devices will set wannabe owners back a paltry £22 with the fewer feature enabled Model A Pi pegged to land later this year with a minimalist £16 price tag.
“Our main function is a charitable one,” a Raspberry Pi spokesperson said. “We’re trying to build the cheapest possible computer that provides a certain basic level of functionality, and keeping the price low means we’ve had to make hard decisions about what hardware and interfaces to include.”

Been following there site for the past few months, and thought from the low activity level on their forums it would be easy to get one. But a few days before launch it was all over the bastard news and HUKD , saying interest only by the time I got there.

Det you able to add me to the list pls?

Just wondered if everyone has a suitable power supply? I've ordered one on ebay for £3.20 delivered, search for item 250934239836. Output 5V and 1A, I've read some info which says that should be plenty. I'll most likely be looking for a cheapo SD or SDHC card too, I found an old one while clearing a room out last weekend but it's only 32MB (as I said - it was old, it had some good photos on it though).

Thought I should leave an update to this since I've received mine. It doesn't look like the photo in the ebay listing, I was sent a Palm plug in USB adaptor (which is indeed 1000mA) and a separate HP branded "iPAQ" (packaged and sealed) USB to micro USB cable which according to the packaging is 1100mm long.

I was a bit arsey at first when I saw it wasn't the same as the photo but on reflection this is much better because I will be able to use the USB adaptor with my iPhone lead and have another charging point when I'm not using the raspberry pi (or when the novelty has worn off).

Wouldn't mind the link for this. Love the idea of xbmc and this mmmm. Although I have a popcorn player and don't need another gadget but we all love gadgets.
