    Info Phone insurance

Not really a phone issue, so I thought to post here.

My lad has dropped his iphone 4 and smashed it. I have insurance through Nat West bank account. Are they likely to replace it if I make a claim, or is it only for stolen phones.
Also, with the excess that is payable, is it worth trying to get it repaired independently.

    Thanks

I claimed on my natwest adavantage gold mate and they sent a brand new replacement handset, mine was heavily water damaged. It took about 2 weeks but was worth it, the excess is like £30 aint it? I would send it there rather than seek a repairer personally

You registered his phone on your insurance? If you haven't then I'd be surprised if you can claim.

Your cover will begin 14 days after you register your details.

Exactly mobileman, so I would ensure you register and then wait out your no claims period before making a claim hint hint.

I have the same insurance and I'm sure that I read that they have to be notified within 48 hours of the damage/loss occurring by letter? Seems a tad strict.
