Comp freezing

Been having trouble for a while now when im d/loading with Utorrent my comp will freeze not able to do anything cursor wont move have to restart not all the time but its fkn annoying ive deleted Utorrent and reinstalled still get problem not sure where to start thanks

You want to test your memory and your HDD first. Memtest is best for memory and Spinrite is good for HDD scanning. A bad sector could cause your lock ups.

Download Ultimate Boot CD, burn to CD, boot to CD, then select the memory/RAM/Testing menus to launch Memtest. Spinrite is not on there but several other HDD scanning tools are.

Does the issue only occur when uTorrent is in use?

I think it has done it once maybe twice without Utorrent but long time ago ta will d/l now

Bit of a cop out, but comps always appreciate a format and clean install if you can't find the problem.

Hirens 10.6 is better IMO, but apparently it contains pirated software so I mentioned UBCD as it's 100% legit. Hirens has memtest and HDD tests on it.

Memory test.....=pass complete no errors
Hitachi ...Operation complete dispositoin code =0*00
Both look ok i got hirens 11.0 dont want to go down format route

Keep an eye on your core temperatures using speedfan, if it gets too hot it could cause problems. To save time I would suggest a format but the choice is yours.

Run a full malwarebytes antimalware scan to check for bad processes.
